You can also use Art Epoxy as a stand-alone coating without pouring another layer of resin. It will help to harden surfaces, seal them and make them resistant to the outdoor elements. When used on wood, it brings out the wood grain perfectly.

Use:

Art Epoxy Penetration is a water dispersion of epoxy resin. It serves as a coating and penetrating compound that can be diluted with water. Easy application and maintenance and perfect surface sealing will perfectly protect the leakage of bubbles into the poured resin and also help to better bond the porous material to the resin, thus achieving a stronger cohesion. The use of Art Epoxy primer will saturate the wood, which will absorb the primer and increase its hardness and durability.

Properties:

• viscosity (23 ^oC) 500 - 800 mPa.s (resin) 800 - 1000 mPa.s (hardener);
• viscosity of the mixture (23 ^oC) 700 - 900 mPa.s;
• density of the mixture 1,03 - 1,07 g/cm3^;
• mixing ratio 100 : 26 (by weight);
• processability 15 - 60 minutes (200 g, 23 ^oC);
• curing 10 - 24 hours (200 g, 23 ^oC).

Processing:

Clean the dry substrate thoroughly of dust and dirt. Mix component A with component B in a mixing ratio of 100:26 by weight, this mixture can then be mixed in a mixing ratio of 100:50 by weight with water. This creates a primer. Let the thinned paint stand for about 15 minutes before applying it.

The processing time of the primer is about 30-60 minutes (depending on the ambient temperature and the amount mixed). After mixing, the penetrating coating takes the form of a milky dispersion, which is cleaned and soaked into the substrate within 30 minutes. Penetration should be carried out in 1-2 coats, depending on the substrate properties.

Apply the primer with a brush, brush or roller. Clean tools and work equipment with water immediately after use to prevent their deterioration. The material is not intended for the coating of toys and surfaces in direct contact with food.

Security measures:

• We recommend that children under 18 years of age, pregnant and nursing women work with epoxy resin only with skin and respiratory protection, and that children work only under adult supervision;
• if eyes are hit, flush with plenty of water. Avoid swallowing or inhaling material; if swallowed or if mucous membranes are affected, seek medical attention;
• wash your hands thoroughly after work, especially before eating. Do not smoke, drink or eat while creating the product;
• work in a well-ventilated area with (important!) low humidity (no more than 30-40%);
• the temperature must be no lower than 20 °C and no higher than 25-27 °C;
• work only with gloves, the resin can cause an allergic reaction on the skin;
• we recommend protecting your airways with a respirator or full-face mask.
