What's so great about affiliate marketing? Why not collaborate through discount coupons, for example?
We have several reasons for this:
- Affiliate collaboration is transparent, you immediately see what reward you'll get.
- You see in real-time how well the link sharing worked and you can try something similar next time if it was successful. If it wasn't successful, you know right away and can try promoting differently or with a different product.
- Collaboration through discount coupons is not transparent. You have to rely on the data the e-shop provides you, because they can't let you into their system. And because such collaboration requires a lot of administrative work on the e-shop's part, it's often only possible to evaluate it, for example, once a month or per quarter due to time constraints. And nobody wants to wait for that. 😊 Also, unfortunately, it's not possible to easily "export" which products your fans or followers purchased. This would require dozens of hours of work if the discount coupons are used multiple times.
