Before processing:
In order to ensure proper curing and the best properties of the final product, the exact mixing ratio must be maintained, i.e. 100:27 (100 grams of NatuResin and 27 grams of water). In our offer you will also find a scale that makes it easy to keep these ratios.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in reduced strength, slower curing and reduced product life.
To ensure optimal consistency and quality results after application, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient temperature of the environment and the casting material during mixing (approx. 20 °C). Low temperatures have a negative effect on the final result. The environment should not be exposed to direct sunlight or have excessive humidity (no more than 40% humidity).
Processing and application:
Prepare a large enough container in which you can comfortably mix both ingredients. The container must be dry and clean. First weigh the liquid and then add the pre-weighed powdered component a little at a time and stir continuously. Continue stirring until the two ingredients are completely combined and the mixture is liquid and lump-free.
After mixing the two ingredients, you can add a colour from the COLORFUN range. It is recommended to add the colour in a maximum amount of about 2% of the total weight of the mixed casting mass.
The Dye Solution range of inks, alcohol inks and metallic powders fromour range also work well for colouring. Remember, however, that while powder paints will retain their colour when mixed with NatuResin, they will not retain their metallic tint.
The processing time is about 12 - 15 minutes. However, do not delay casting, as the mass may ripen faster in larger mixed quantities and depending on the temperature.
Lightly tap the filled mould from the sides, or create a vibration on the mat. This will encourage the release of air bubbles from the mixture that are created during mixing.
Tip: Not sure how much NatuResin casting compound you need for your moulds? Before casting, weigh how much water will fit into the chosen mould. Multiply this weight by 1.5 and you have the approximate weight of dry ingredients needed to create your original product.
Other uses:
NatuResin is also suitable for use in laminating, for the production of counterforms for rubber moulds and for solid counters in casting. NatuResin is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. However, for outdoor use it is recommended to treat the product with a protective varnish.
