Silicone molds for epoxy resin - round candlesticks
Silicone moulds for the production of candlesticks made of epoxy resin.
You can choose from three options:
- variant 1: 4 x 5,6 cm;
- variant 1: 5,8 x 5,6 cm;
- variant 1: 7,8 x 5,6 cm.
For these moulds you need about 60 grams (variant 1), 110 grams (option 2) and 140 grams (option 3) of resin. The final quantity depends on the filling rate of the moulds and the amount of fillers and decorations used. You can find out what resin you need for these moulds here.
Always clean the mould before first use, due to storage and transport the moulds may be slightly dusty. The forms are reusable.
The mould has a perfectly smooth and shiny surface. You simply pour the epoxy resin into it and you get an amazing handmade product!More information

Application:
- Place the mold on a completely flat surface (if possible, use a level) to ensure an even cast. For more comfortable work, you can pour the resin in two layers (with surface treatment).
- Don’t forget that the most important thing is the type of resin you are working with. Only use proven resins that are intended for creating artworks and decorations (medium-viscosity or thick).
- Do not use resins for table making or resins that dry slowly (less reactive). Such resins damage and wear away the gloss of the molds.
- The edges of the finished product can be painted with metal paint, which gives it a unique and premium look.
To enjoy your molds for as long as possible, follow a few simple rules:
- If you pour a poorly mixed mixture, remnants of the hardener can deform the mold, and the cast may stick to the mold, so it is important to thoroughly mix the resin!
- Handle the burner and hot air gun with extreme caution. Don’t keep them in one spot for too long, as it can cause overheating of the resin at one point and lead to its dissolution into the mold.
- Molds should not be washed, as water can leave traces and streaks. If uncured resin comes into contact with water, the resin will lose its gloss. Dirt should only be removed using adhesive tape. Do not wipe the mold with alcohol, thinners, or other aggressive substances.
- It is not recommended to stack molds on top of each other. Be careful not to let anything touch the shiny part of the mold.
- Store molds ideally in dustproof boxes, at room temperature, and away from direct sunlight!
Molds and unfinished products must not be wet, otherwise, cloudy streaks and other defects may appear on the product’s surface after curing.
Molds do not have an expiration date but should be considered consumables. Regardless of the quality of the silicone, resin breaks down the surface of the mold and it will “burn” over time. The surface of the mold will become dull, and products from such molds will also be matte. They will no longer be as shiny as is typical for resin. Unfortunately, the gloss of the molds cannot be restored, but do not throw away such molds. They may still be useful if you need a matte cast.
Burning a mold with resin is a natural damage, but the mold also wears out due to mechanical impacts. Therefore, when arranging decorations in the mold, be cautious when using tweezers or toothpicks. We strongly advise against stretching or squeezing closed molds. If you stretch the silicone too much, it will not tear, but damage will appear. The mold unfortunately will not return to its original state, and the deformation will also be visible on the resin cast.
With proper use, the mold retains its original properties even after repeated use. However, our personal experiences and feedback from customers show that it is not realistic to expect that the mold will retain its original quality more than 5-6 times. Depending on the proper use of the mold and the suitable resin, you will achieve a shiny cast in about eight pours, after which the mold will gradually lose its shine, and the products will no longer have a glossy surface. However, a glossy surface on a matte cast can easily be achieved by applying a top layer of resin.
- We do not recommend placing the wick directly into resin candle holders and pouring wax over it. Only use tea lights in protective cups for these holders.
- Candle holders with a lit candle must always be under the supervision of an adult and placed on a non-flammable surface.
- If you wish to pour a candle directly into a self-made container without a cup, meaning with the wick and wax directly placed, choose NatuResin mineral resin for their production.
